What is IELTS?
IELTS i.e. the International English Language Testing System is a test given by people who want to study abroad, migrate to another country for settlement or for jobs. This high-level English proficiency test is conducted all around the world to test the candidate’s ability to talk, read, write, and speak in english.
IELTS test is further divided into two parts i.e. Academic IELTS and general IELTS. This 2 hours 45 minutes exam comprises 4 sections which include: writing, reading, listening, and speaking. The score range of 1-9 is marked for the IELTS exam.
The exam is managed by three big organisations: The British Council, University of Cambridge (ESOL) examinations (Cambridge ESOL), and IDP IELTS Australia. IELTS Academic has four sections which include:

What is a good score in IELTS?
A good score in IELTS is considered to be 8-9. Where 8 is considered a good score. To study in top universities and do a job in different countries, an IELTS score of 7 band is required. Other than this if a person is dependent or is choosing an average college or life then a 6-7 score is accepted. It is always advisable for candidates to score between 7-9 so that they do not face any kind of problem-related to college admissions and jobs. The course plan for IELTS can range up to 1 week to 4 weeks depending from student to student.
